Ultimate Pitch Competition (UPC)

Overview

green photo with windows and sunThe Ultimate Pitch Competition (UPC) brings together innovators across the College of Engineering to showcase bold ideas and breakthrough technologies.

Hosted by the eHub, UPC is a student-led initiative that provides a platform for students and researchers to pitch their innovations, gain real-time feedback, gain visibility, and connect with a community focused on translating ideas into real-world impact. Participants also compete for cash prizes and access to resources that support the continued development of their ventures.

Whether you are just starting or actively building a venture, UPC offers the opportunity to practice your pitch, expand your network, and accelerate your work.

 

Competition Tracks

Teams may apply under one of the following categories:

  • HealthTech
    Technologies advancing human health, including medical devices, diagnostics, therapeutics, digital health, and wellness solutions.
  • GreenTech
    Solutions focused on sustainable energy, environmental systems, water and waste management, and climate technologies.
  • Advanced Materials & Manufacturing (AMM)
    Innovations in materials, nanotechnology, semiconductors, and modern manufacturing such as automation and additive manufacturing.
  • Digital & Intelligent Systems
    AI, software, cybersecurity, robotics, and autonomous or cyber-physical systems enabling intelligent, connected technologies.

 

Prizes & Opportunities

  • Up to $1,000 in cash prizes
  • Access to campus maker spaces
  • Opportunities to connect with mentors, judges, and fellow innovators

  • Time: 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM
  • Location: McHugh Hall, Rooms 206 & 306
  • Dress Code: Business Casual
  • Eligibility: Open to all students and postdocs, across all experience levels
